Bobalicious Smoothies @ Paradigm Mall (Invited Review)


Located right opposite to Tesco Paradigm Mall, Bobalicious is an ideal place for grabbing a healthy drinks or quick meal after a fruitful grocery shopping at Tesco. Although the shop is small with only a few tables for dine in, the menu is prepared with care and take away is always welcomed when the place is full.

Bobalicious started off in Tropicana City Mall, selling healthy fruit juice for city people which barely takes in fruits, vegetables and fibres. Their menu is soon expended with some light meals like sandwiches and pasta, and follows by new outlet in Ikano Power Centre which serves fruit juice and Chinese food at In The Bowl next to it. Now, they arrive at Paradigm Mall to continue their healthy mission.

Same as the main outlet, Bobalicious in Paradigm Mall also serves healthy fruit drinks such as Peach Cooler, Berries Blast, Avocado Delights and Matcha Crunch. Blended with few types of fruits, their fruit smoothies taste nothing odd but refreshing with a brand new delightful taste that surprises your palate.

Caesar Salad (RM7.90)
Start off your meal with the Caesar Salad, a healthy pick where tomatoes, eggs, greenish salad and croutons being tossed together in creamy thousand island sauce, sprinkled with cheesy cheese powder for extra flavor.

Egg Mayo Sandwich (RM7.90)
After the salad, if you prefer some light but healthy mains, try on the egg mayo sandwich. It has three layers bread sandwiched with ham, cheese, eggs and vegetable, cut into triangular shape and served together with nachos. Simple yet filling.

Bolognese Baked Cheese (RM12.90)
If you prefer mains with heavier flavor, Bolognese baked cheese will be your choice. The dish has a bed of pasta topped with tomato meat sauce and melted cheese, so irresistible flavorful. The cheese gives a long tail when scooping up, emitting cheesy aroma in the air.

Chicken Lasagna (RM12.90)
Another cheezy mains that one shall try out will be the Chicken Lasagna. Lasagna layered with tomato sauce and chunks of chicken meat, then topped with cheese baked to golden brown. Cheesy melted cheese, sourish tomato paste and pasta get into a perfect match that kids and adults will like it equally.


Turkey Ham Olio (RM9.90)
The turkey ham olio is kept simple and light, where spaghetti is sautéed together with olive oil, mushroom, and chicken ham. Nothing special, but al dente.

Tabasco Tomyam Pasta (RM8.90)
The best dish of the day goes to Tabasco Tomyam Pasta, where spaghetti is drowning in sourish and spicy tomyam sauce. It is unique and rich in taste, portion is good enough to fill your stomach.

Ramadhan Buffet @ Paya Serai, Hilton Petaling Jaya (Invited Review)


In the spiritual month of Ramadhan, Paya Serai’s brigade of talented chefs led by Chef Noor Hisham will spoil you with delicious and bountiful buffet spread ranging from authentic local delights and quintessential Malay Ramadhan dishes to Indian, Chinese, cuisine and hawker food. Moreover, the buffet menu is on rotation every day, so there is always something new to try!

Kick start your ‘Buka Puasa’  with arrays of starters such as Buah Jeruk, Acar Buah Sri Rampai, Kerabu Sotong Kering, Kerabu Nangka, Taufu Sumbat, Bubur Lambuk, and Soup Soto Ayam. Also, make your own salad by tossing the fresh salad ingredients together with a wide selection of dressing from Sambal Belacan to Italian dressing.

Next, move on the main course section which is divided into a few counters such as Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Malay, etc. For Malay offerings, there are Burung Puyuh Goreng Madu, Lobster Slipper Masak Lemak Belimbing, Fish Head Curry, Gulai Nangka Masak Lada Hitam and Ayam Pongteh. Various rice dishes such as Lemang, Ketupat, Nasi Bryani to accompany your mains.

In the Chinese section, you can find Sweet & Sour Fish, Pineapple Fried Rice, Pau, Dim Sum, Fried Noodles and Deep Fried Chicken with Lemon Sauce. Not to forget the Indian delights which are equally scrumptious such as Roti Canai, Cukka Mutton, Bean Curd Keettu and Okra Masala.

Fresh and crispy Apam Balik, sourish and spicy Asam Laksa from the bazaar stall.

Other than that, you can find some hawker fares like Asam Laksa, Apam Balik, Putu Piring, Chicken and Lamb Shawarma with Pita Bread and Nasi Lemak near to the entrance. In contrast to the hawker food, there are luxury delights like big and Fresh Oyster, Fresh Mussel, Boiled Tiger Prawns and Boilded Slipper Lobster in the buffet spread too. 

Apart from that, there is a newly added Chinese 'Lok Lok' steamboat section that you shouldn't miss out. Just pick the ingredients and watch them prepared a la minute to get your pipping hot steamboat ingredients ready. Also, there is a small stall beside the 'lok lok' stall, busy frying fresh, hot and crispy prawn tempura. And next to prawn tempura stall, smooth and amazing taste Turkish ice cream is waiting for you. 

While enjoying your food, quench your thirst with drinks such as Soya Milk, Air Sirap Bandung, Apple Juice, Barley Water, Cendol and Teh Tarik. Lastly, end your meal with arrays of mouth watering desserts that covers local Nyonya kuih, pastries, cakes, ice creams, Chocolate Fountain and Fruit Skewers. If you still have room for more food, continue with their sweet and juicy fruits such as duku langsat, rambutan, nangka, watermelon and kurma.

Child below 12 years old will be entitled 50% discount on the Ramadhan price. Paya Serai turns really busy when comes to break fast time. So do make advance booking before you go to avoid disappointment.

The Shepherdoo @ Centro Mall Klang (Invited Review)


The Shepherdoo, is a restaurant and lounge serving Tex-Mex cuisines. It is located near the entrance of Centro Mall Klang, right across the Starbucks. We feel glad to be invited for a dinner here one weekend.


The entire restaurant is not big, and is separate into indoor and outdoor dining. Using dominant white colour for walls, the restaurant is cozy and homey, allowing you to sit back comfortably while having your meals. There is lighted candle at every table and a huge cage at the entrance which have added some dreamy elements to the whole interior.

The Shepherdoo’s Tapas Platter (RM29.90)
We kicked off the meal with The Shepherdoo’s Tapas Platter which has a portion that is good for sharing. It consists of crispy deep fried calamari, peri-peri chicken, corn chips with tomato salsa sauce, Quesadilla de Hongo and smoky Buffalo Wings one platter.

Pollo Nachos (RM17.90)
Next, try on Pollo Nachos which has homemade fried tortilla chips, grilled chicken, cheddar cheese, sour cream, jalapenos, salsa and guacamole being tossed together. A very appetizing starter with crispy texture and tangy sensation

Patatas Bravas (RM8.90)
Patatas Bravas, another starter that comes in small portion but can be very filling. It has fried baby potatoes cooked in a spicy sauce with tomatoes, garlic, smoked chili sauce and lemon aioli. The big chunks of potato tastes earthy in a good way, with creamy and rich flavor.

Pizza De Mexicana(RM13.90)
Pizza De Mexicana is a light dish where tortilla crust is used as the pizza dough base. It is spread with red sauce and topped with grilled mix peppers, dried crushed chili, sweet white onions and mozzarella cheese. Simple, nutritious and doesn’t short of flavors.

Grilled Chicken Caesar (RM18.90)
Savors the Grilled Chicken Caesar, a healthy leafy greens which brings together romaine lettuce, turkey bacon, egg, croutons, cherry tomatoes and parmesan cheese in one plate. The salad is finished with The Shepherdoo’s homemade special dressing.

Combo Fajita (RM34.80)
Combo Fajitas has chicken and beef fajitas sautéed with mixed peppers and onions, tossed with Shepherdoo’s own blend spices and is served sizzling hot skillet. It comes together with sour cream, guacamole and homemade salsa as condiments, and warm flour tortillas as the wrap. To eat it, get a piece of tortilla and fill with meat and condiments. The juicy fajitas and condiments which have a sweet, creamy and sour concoction bring good complement to the light taste tortilla.

Pierna Rojo Vivo (RM25.90)
Marinated and pan fried chicken thigh sitting on chilled potato salad, served over a bed of papaya salsa and fresh green. We like the zingy taste of papaya salsa for it delivers a refreshing balance to the deep flavor and tender chicken.

Pollo Quesadilla (RM19.80)
A simple yet wholesome wrapped where quesadillas are stuffed with flame grilled chicken strips, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese, mix greens and then char-grilled to give a crispy end products with cheesy melting cheese pulling an awesome flavor.

Chicken Parmigiana Ala Mexicano (RM22.50)
Chicken Pqarmigiana Ala Mexicano is delicious, rich and satisfying with breaded fresh chicken breast layered with tomato and cheese melted over. Served together with crunchy curly fries and healthy salad.

Cordero Horneado (RM27.80)
Cajun spiced rubbed lamb shoulder served with roasted garlic mash potatoes, crisp salad and cucumber yogurt sauce.

Filete del Solomillo(RM43.90)
Filete del Solomillo is one of the highlights in Shepherdoo, where premium beef sirloin steak cut is flame grilled with shallot butter, topped with sautéed seasonal vegetables and reduced brown sauce. Half done with juiciness locked in within, the steak scores high among other dishes. Generous portion with creamy mashed potato served beside.

The Shepherdoo's Gringo Burger (RM23.80)
Go wild with the Shepherdoo’s Gingo Burger which has a thick and juicy beef patty made from premium South American topside, turkey bacon, egg, lemon mayo, and cheddar cheese sandwiched within two sesame buns. It is massive, calories guilt, but yet a satisfying reward to the tummy once in a blue moon.

A very healthy pasta option where a bed of sautéed spinach pasta is topped with Mexican rubbed, char grilled chicken breast and caramelized pineapple, garnished with tomato chunks.

Cinnamon Wafer Tortilla (RM8.50)
Cinnamon Wafer Tortilla has a scoop of vanilla ice cream crispy golden brown tortilla triangles, and lacing with caramel sauce, cinnamon sugar and whipped cream.

Bread & Butter Pudding (RM9.00)
Sink your teeth into another delightful dessert, the bread and butter pudding with combines the moist and creamy of bread, eggs, peaches and pineapple slices with sweet and icy cold sensation of ice cream.

The Spepherdoo’s Sweet Treasures (RM12.00)
The Shepherdoo’s Sweet Treasures is a dessert full of sweet treasures such as mini coin size pancake, strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, topped with ice cream and laced with chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

Absolute Sundae (RM10.00)
A dessert that put you in surprises. As you spoon up the ice cream, you find cookies crumbs, bananas, strawberries, and chocolate hidden in it.

A combination of Tequila, triple sec & lime blended & served on salt-rimmed martini glass.

A bright colour drink with Jagermeister, lemon, lime & grenadine topped with cranberry juice

A classic drink with bulks of Mint muddled together with Lime, Sugar and Rum then topped with Soda.
